Websides collect your personal information to sell. They do not have to tell you...do you think this is ethical? Why or why not?
Well I suppose I would say it is unethical to sell personal information to other companies. With the way things are in today's society one would tend to think that if your personal information ended up in the hands of an unhonest person...you might have some problems. Each time an individual purchases something on an online store...personal information is being realeased...home addresses, telephone numbers, and sometimes even social security numbers!
As I sit here typing this...kinda scary how easily personal files, numbers, and codes can be obtained. I suppose if you really are that paranoid of it getting out and into the wrong hands...maybe you should just pay with cash the next time you decided to get on ebay...oh wait you can't! lol....just how it is...if people wanna find ya these days they will! For instance, look any the sources like Myspace, Facebook, and Twitter...in a matter of minutes you can find someone you just met that day with a few simple searching characteristics!
Bottome line...it's scary to think about, but just be careful who you are giving that information too! And I am sure everything will be just fine!

Is social networking a good thing in the work force?
When asked the question..."Does social networking belong in the workforce?" I can immediately come up with an answer...NO!
There are quite a few reasons why social networking would be a negative outlet in the work place. First of all networking is a distraction while on the job. Instead of focusing and giving 100% of your time to your employer you can easily become interested on who posted the latest pictures and what Bobbie did last night after practice. For example, right now I have chatted with two friends and typed a comment on a wall just while trying to get through this blog! I rest my case! lol
Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and Myspace also are an outlet for unwanted drama, and if that would happen to venture into your place of employment it could result in termination. Think about it...would you really wanna loose your current job because John Doe is jealous you just added his girlfriend?
So really...to sum things up. Just keep away from it while you at work doing your job and stay on task. Worry about who cheated on who and what every one's status is after work...maybe even update your own! ;) Just a few things to think about!

Paying for name brand programs!
Question: What do you feel about paying to use applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and MAC programs rather than simply using the free Open Source resources?
Answer: I feel that having to pay for the use of programs offered by Microsoft and MAC is somewhat of a hassle, but in the end worth it. In today's economy most people are not wanting for pay for such items and in result are turning to the Open Soure resources. When researching between the two, Microsoft and MAC have a history for being reliable, easy to use, and staying up to date with current trends in the corresponding field. People also turn to these two main brands because they are familiar and confident with them and do not have to run the risk of using a source that they are unfamiliar with. Personally spending the extra money to get the resources that Microsoft and MAC provide seem worth it to me. I feel at ease using their programs and know I am recieving the most current programs with the confidence and reliablity that a customer needs.
